Soon the chipmunks will come out of hibernation and they are real characters, become very friendly and will feed from the hand. The snow is slowly receding but there is a way to go yet, the auguries are good, however. The local farmers are already tapping the Sugar Maples for sap and the smoke curls up from the sugar shacks. Soon we will be enjoying of of life's great pleasures - fresh maple syrup! Gotta get Miriam to make blueberry pancakes!David M.
