Garden Sighting

Red Kite.

For the second time in a little over two months a Red Kite has flown over the garden here in East Cheshire, a rare visitor to this part of the UK. This second fly over saw it circle quite low before gaining height and drifting off towards Lyme Park and the moorlands.

  1. I have seen them in North Wales, but never in Cheshire. From Findlay

  2. Walking out near Prestbury, Cheshire East this morning and had the fortune of seeing a Red Kite up close as it was flying quite low. There were also buzzards nearby, so easy to spot the difference. This is the second time I have seen a Kite this year, the last one was hunting near Nether Alderley.
