Matty wanted a lift for himself and a couple of mates to go Carp fishing in Wincle, so a quick look at bird guides to what was local to the area that would make the journey doubley worth while. Slavonian Grebe and Greater Scaup at Astbury Mere...... not more than 10 miles or so past the fishing pools, The lads fish and the driver gets to bird watch, happy days.
