Lovely! We used to live on a road called Egret Court but it didn't have any egrets that we saw, only great blue herons. Of course, they are magnificent too.
Wonderful captures! Can't help but think those fluffy brilliant white feathers look like a fine mink coat. :) The second reflection is my favorite. Have a great week Dave!
Great photos of the Little Egret. I like the way it is all fluffed up against the cold - and showing its beautiful plumes. I like your header photo - it looks like a fascinating environment out there and must look very different with the tide all in.
It is always appreciated to see peoples comments on my posts. I may not always be able to respond, but I do try to visit other peoples websites and leave appropriate comments when I visit. As always Thank you for visiting Bfbsoutdoorramblings. Dave
Pretty! Beautiful reflection on the last photo.
ReplyDeleteThat beauty had to brighten the gloom! Wonderful shots of that gorgeous bird!
ReplyDeleteWhat beauty captured in these images, the last one, wow I bet my husby could do a watercolour that would not even match up to that beauty~
ReplyDeleteHI Dave It may have been gloomy but these are great shots of the Egret to brighten up a day.

ReplyDeleteThat would have caused a bit of twitch the last time I lived anywhere near Leighton Moss.
ReplyDeleteHope to be able to pay a visit in July - where I will (as ever) dip out on the Bearded Tits!

Egrets are so showy. They make for good photos.
ReplyDeleteI can remember when Little Egrets in Lancashire were scarce enough to twitch. I even went to Freckleton in the mid 80's just to see one........
ReplyDeleteBeauty shots Dave! I love the way you captured the detail of the "fluff" of feathers on it's back, and the reflections are terrific.
ReplyDeletehe brightened up the scene nicely. :)

ReplyDeleteAll puffed up to stay warm -- the egret casts a beautiful reflection!
