Long Eared Owl

Certainly my best ever view of the brilliant species. Even though it was tucked way back in a large hawthorn bush it was visible with the naked eye once you got your eye in.  Was able to watch it sit comfortably preening and it didn't take any notice of the trains that were passing close by behind it. Anyway I rattled off 20 or so shots and this is about the best I was ever going to get.
