Barn Owl

A nice local bird at an undisclosed site. Had a pleasant hour with it last evening, it only flew once probably to strtch its wings and resumed its perch where in nodded off every now and again while keeping alert to the noisy Chiffchaffs that flitted around the same tree.

    Beautiful shots, Dave. You are wise not to disclose the location. All owls are enigmatic, but Barn Owl perhaps tops them all and you have captured this one so well.

    What a great bird they are - we had some that lived in woodland just outside of our house in Cumbria many years ago. I finally managed to see an Australian on this weekend too!
