Winter Warmers

The arrival of migrant Redwings and Fieldfares indicates the seasonal change to greyer skies and often colder weather..... yep winters here.

My local patch currently has good mixed flocks gorging on the berries along the lane. Two consecutive weekends have been good as the food is still fairly plentiful.

Smashing birds and certainly a winter warmer in this naff weather we currently have.

as I double backed round with the car he flew to another wall to finish his meal

a few hundred yards away I caught up with at least 3 Dippers

Kestrel

This female Kestrel hunted in front of the new hide at rspb Point of Ayr. She caught a few small mammals but chose to eat from a distance, however she did come close enough for these images.
