Kruger Park - August:

juvenile Dotterel - Great Orme (a twitch with a good friend, Phil)

 
October:
Glossy Ibis- Horwich (another localish twitch with Phil)

 
November:
Parrot crossbill - Holt CP (a long jaunt to Norfolk for this)
(I have had to cadge this image from Phil as mine were poor, cheers Phil)

 
December:
Lesser Redpoll - Winter returns .....Happy Days

 

Baikal Teal -  what no image!
 (however it didnt take away the feeling of euphoria when I got to see this mega rarity)

Another fantastic series! The "Flying Banana" on top is one of my favourite African birds.

Seriously, if I saw a cheetah in real time and be able to photograph it, I'd need a change of clothes with me for I know I'd pee my pants in excitement and thrill of it all.

Love the lilac breasted roller.

well the hornbill is very handsome David, but that l.b.roller is amazing!! And the colours definitely eye-catching; how lovely to see this and get the photo.

Another magnificent collection for the second half of the year! What amazing things you come across like the Hammerkop on the hippo, Cheetah crossing the road and a mighty herd of elephants in the water, let alone all your spectacular birds.
Dave, mat I copy a couple of your birds onto my computer for drawing practice please? I promise not to use them for anything else.
I look forward to the wonders you will post this year and hope it brings you many great experiences in nature.
