The Cat & Fiddle moorland

It a wonderful place and not too far from home for me. I try to get up here a few times a month especially in the spring and early summer for the Short Eared Owls.

Yesterday was no exception as three hunted and displayed across the moors, especially from Derbyshire Bridge area.

Some more images but from the last few months

Last night the weather was mixed but it brought some glorious evening light changes and rather moody skies.

and in reverse.....
now looking towards the Cat & Fiddle (in the distance on the horizon) from Derbyshire Bridge

towards the Goyt Valley

and finally I had to stop for this rainbow over nearby Macclesfield Forest

those owls are beautiful! and you've got some fabulous fence shots in here, too! if you feel like it, you could link in to Good Fences on thursday morning (which would be evening, i guess, for you) at my place. :)

Its not very often that I am going to spend more time looking at the landscape than an Owl - but I think this would have been a close run thing!

Wonderful.
