Creatures of the night

Badgers and Foxes visit every evening looking for scraps. I only put the trail cam out once a week or so and usually capture video footage. I set it on stills last night and got this shot of them together.

Badger wins every time and takes absolutely no notice of the nervous Fox.

How wonderful to capture the events of the night on your trail cam. I have only ever seen badger once and was enthralled by it. Maybe next time a peripatetic hedgehog might join the festivities.

HI Dave, what a great idea, I've never seen a badger in the wilds...it must be fun to see them...and more and more the fox is not around. Good captures.

Well done getting that shot Dave. Badgers will always win over foxes I think.

Undoubtedly the night cameras of photo cheating help us to know the habits of mammals that are difficult to see in broad daylight. Greetings Dave

Nice. I like the excitement of checking these cameras the morning after you put them out. I get foxes here, but no badgers!

Sorry for rather long silence, things have been a bit crazy here.

How wonderful to have Badgers visiting your garden, Dave! Not much chance of it in my suburban garden, but I wouldn't wish for it anyway as Badgers are often not healthy company for Hedgehogs - they have a tendency to tear them apart with those claws.

A delightful shot.

Take good care - - - Richard
